WALLER CO. CHASE LEADS TO ARREST

A Houston man is behind bars after a high-speed chase early this (Tuesday) morning in Waller County.

Officials said it all started when a Waller County deputy tried to pull over a driver, but the man allegedly refused to stop.

The suspect weaved through back roads near Prairie View before getting onto 290 heading toward Houston.

Houston TranStar freeway cameras showed the chase around 4 a.m. along Highway 290.

Harris County deputies put out spike strips, bringing the chase to an end at the Waller-Harris County line.

It wasn't immediately known why the man, whose name has not been released, refused to pull over.
