WALLER COUNTY ACCIDENT SENDS BRENHAM TEEN TO HOSPITAL

A Hispanic teen male from Brenham was involved in a one vehicle wreck yesterday (Monday) near Hempstead.

The driver was driving west bound on 290 at 1488 overpass when authorities with Waller County DPS believe he fell asleep at the wheel. The driver reportedly struck the guardrail before vaulting off the upper portion of the overpass.

The driver was taken by helicopter to Hermann Memorial-Downtown Hospital in Houston where he is said to be doing well.

As the driver is a juvenile, his name is not being released.

  1. This is a very good friend of my daughter. He is a good, hard-working young man. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family who are long time residents of Brenham and are very good people.

    1. I agree. This is a wonderful family. Very sweet and giving. As we continue to pray for him and the family, we can thank a loving God for working a miracle in his life. He definitely has a purpose and a plan for this young man.
