WALLER COUNTY FAIR KICKS OFF THIS WEEKEND
The Waller County Fair begins this Friday, providing fun and entertainment through October 1st.
Friday will feature a BBQ Cook-off at 6 p.m. and Ladies Ranch Rodeo at 7 p.m.
Saturday will have many events throughout the day, starting with the fair parade at 10 a.m. This year, there are over 80 entries for the parade in downtown Hempstead. KTEX’s Trail Boss Troy will be there in the Friendly Country Cruiser.
The Waller Youth Rough Stock Rodeo will take place at 12 noon, followed immediately by the Waller Youth Rough Stock Championship.
The Little Mr. and Miss will be announced at 5:35, followed by the crowning of the Waller County Fair Queen.
The Lone Star Cowgirls will perform in the rodeo arena at 6:30, with the Open Ranch Rodeo beginning at 7 p.m. Saturday night live music will feature Jarrod Birmingham from 9-10:30 and Josh Abbott from 11:30 to 1 a.m.
During the week, the fair will host a variety of livestock shows, carnival fun and a selection of delicious foods.
