WALMART & BRENHAM OFFICE SUPPLY STRUCK BY BURGLARS

  

Brenham Police are investigating a pair of local burglaries.

Thursday morning around 5:30, Officer Ashley Burns responded to Wal-Mart on Highway 290 West.

The caller says someone broke into a battery shed behind the building and stole over 100 vehicle batteries, valued at over $13,000.

The incident was captured on surveillance video.  Officers learned that the incident began at approximately 2:00 a.m. and involved two men and a moving van.

The men fled the scene and remain at large.  The investigation continues.

Thursday morning just after 9:00, Corporal Jared Campbell and Officer Andy Adams responded Brenham Office Supply in the 300 Block of West Main Street.

The caller reported that sometime during the night, someone broke into the building and stole a laptop computer.

That investigation also continues.
