According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, at approximately 9:30 pm, on Thursday, Sergeants Mitch Dreyer and Mark Morales attempted to execute two felony arrest warrants at a residence located in the 17000 Sweed Road.  Upon approaching the front door, Sergeant Dreyer observed the wanted suspect, identified as Eric Tremain Green, sitting inside the residence.  Green was ordered to come to the front door,  however, he ignored the command and fled out the back door.  Sergeant Morales, who was positioned near the rear of the residence, observed Green exit the back door and ordered Green to stop. Instead, Green fled into a heavily dense area behind the residence.  After a foot pursuit, Sergeant Morales was able to apprehend Green and place him under arrest. Sergeant Morales suffered cuts and bruises during the arrest.

Green, 34, is a resident of Washington County and has an extensive criminal history in this county.  Green was arrested on warrants for Burglary of a Building and Forgery Against an Elderly Individual. In addition to the felony warrants, Green was charged with Evading Arrest or Detention with Previous Convictions, which is also a felony.  Green was transported to the Washington County Jail where he continued his unruly behavior and refused to cooperate with jail personnel with basic book-in and arraignment procedures.  He remains incarcerated under bonds totalling $22,500.00.
