WARRANT LEADS TO DRUG ARRESTS

  

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports the Fayette County Narcotics unit made two arrests at a residence in Fayette County.  On Wednesday the Fayette County Narcotics Unit arrived at a residence in Fayetteville attempting to serve a warrant on a suspect.  While at the residence the Narcotics Unit located drug paraphernalia in plain view.  The paraphernalia that was located was Marihuana Pipes, Meth pipes, and other instruments used for the inhalation of illegal narcotics.

A probable cause search of the residence revealed illegal pills and other illegal narcotics.  The narcotics Officers then searched the suspect’s vehicle and located crystal methamphetamine and other illegal prescription pills.  William Schmidt 47 of Fayetteville was arrested for Possession of Controlled Substance and Possession of Dangerous Drugs with Shirley Banks 41 of Fayetteville being arrested for possession of drug paraphernalia.
