WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE AMENDMENT TO FEMA GRANTS

The Washington County Commissioners Court approved amending the terms of a federal grant for storm cleanup during their meeting today (Tuesday).

The Texas Division of Emergency Management has awarded several FEMA grants to Washington County to help with damages sustained during the storms last April. Washington County Judge John Brieden says this amendment has to do with administrative costs:

The Commissioners also approved the seeking of bids for tree removal, culverts, bridge pilings, fuel, hauling, steel products, and paving and road construction for 2017. The bids will open on December 5th and be awarded during the County Commissioners meeting on December 13th.

In other business, the County Commissioners approved a license and service agreement between Local Government Solutions and Washington County for the 21st Judicial District Attorney’s Office. The agreement pertains to a software program used by the District Attorney’s Office. The cost for the program is $1,383 a month and has already been built into the budget.
