WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE LIEN FOR LOCAL PROPERTY

  

The Washington County Commissioners approved obtaining a lien for a property in Washington, Washington County, Texas to cover expenses the county incurred for the removal of an abandoned house. The 8 acre property is located at 17365 FM 912 in north-east Washington County.

The Commissioners approved for March 10th to be known as Geocaching Day. Lu Hollander, Tourism Advertising and PR Manager of the Brenham Convention and Visitors Bureau says that geocaching has brought in over $23,000 to Brenham businesses and believes there will be more to come.

         

 

Commissioners also approved March 7th through 12th as Boys and Girls Club Week in Washington County. During the meeting it was reported that the Boys and Girls Club of Washington County have steadily increased in numbers and the club is at full capacity.

The Local Governments Solutions contract to provide case management backup for the County Attorney’s office was approved as well as a formal notice for a buried utility line on Wiedeville Church Road by Corix Utilities for a water line bore in Precinct 1.

The Court ended the meeting approving Fairgrounds Management’s rental and regulations contracts followed by accounts payable.
