WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS APPROVE RESERVE DEPUTY SHERIFF BOND

Washington County Commissioners approved the renewal bond for a Reserved Deputy Sheriff at today’s (Tuesday) meeting.

In addition to approving the bond for Reserved Deputy Sheriff Floyd Mathis, the Commissioners Court also approved the placement of a temporary above-ground water line on Wildflower Road.  Temporary water lines will also be placed on Old Mill Creek Road, Hohenwalde School Road, Wickel Road, Boundary School Road, and from Prenzler Unit to US 290.

The court also named GrantWorks as its service provider for administration, hazard mitigation assistance, and disaster recovery programs.  Commissioner Joy Fuchs said GrantWorks was the only company that applied for these roles.

Commissioners will allow Independence Community Events to close various streets on July 4 for the annual Independence Day Festivities.
