WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS MEETING TUESDAY

The Washington County Healthy Living Association will soon be getting a new and bigger bus.

At Tuesday morning’s meeting of the Washington County Commissioners Court, the Commissioners are expected to okay the purchase of a new 14 passenger bus for the Washington County Healthy Living Association.  Funds for the new bus will come from a special collection, and from the trade-in value of the Association’s current 2006 9-passenger van.

Also on the agenda for Tuesday’s meeting, the Commissioners will consider approving an interlocal agreement for acquisition, operation and maintenance of public safety computer hardware and software systems between the County and Blinn College, and the County and the City of Burton.  They will consider approving a resolution re-adopting the guidelines and criteria for granting tax phase-in in a reinvestment zone created in the county.  A stipend program for county 9-1-1 telecommunications will be discussed.  And Commissioners will look at renewing the Reserve Deputy Sheriff’s bond for Steve Westbrook.

The Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock in room 103 of the courthouse in Brenham.
