WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS PRECINCT ONE CANDIDATES NEAR CAMPAIGN END

  

Voters in Washington County Precinct One will see two new names on their ballots when voting for County Commissioner.

Republican Don Koester and Democrat Lewis Houser are vying for a seat on the county’s commissioners court.

don-koester-smallDon Koester is a lifelong resident of Washington County and a 1968 graduate of Brenham High School. For the past 10 years he has owned and operated Don’s Appliance Service. In 2005, Koester retired from Sears Roebuck and Co. after 32 years. Koester is a member of the Washington County Chamber of Commerce and the Texas Quality Water Association. Koester says he's committed to being available to the people he would serve:

Houser is a member of the Washington County Veterans Association and serves as Commander of Brenham’s American Legion Post 814. He’s also a former member of the Chappell Hill Historical Society, where he served as president for two terms. He also served two terms on the board of directors of the Boys and Girls Club in Brenham. Houser says public safety is an important issue of his campaign:
