WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO AWARD BIDS

  

The Washington County Commissioners will meet on Tuesday to award a number of bids for the county in 2017.county commissioners 8-2-16

The bids that will be awarded are for tree removal, culverts, bridge pilings, fuel, hauling, steel products, and paving and road construction. The bids opened on December 5th.

The commissioners will also discuss the purchase of a new squeeze chute for the Washington County Fairgrounds. A monetary donation from the Washington County Beef and Forage Committee that would help assist with the purchase will also be considered.

In other business, the commissioners will consider naming a private road which has previously not been named. The road is in Precinct 1 off of Santee Lane and is slated to be named “Whitley Bottom Lane”.

The commissioners will also discuss approving the county engineer to implement a revised policy for placing utilities lines. In addition, the court will also consider a resolution to enter into contracts with towing companies for services related to abandoned, impounded, junked, and disabled vehicles.

The county commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. at the courthouse in chambers 103.
