WASHINGTON CO. COMMISSIONERS TO CONSIDER EXTENDING LOCAL DISASTER DECLARATION

The Washington County Commissioners consider extending the Local Disaster Declaration which was ordered by Washington County Judge, John Brieden. The order is related to the excessive amounts of rainfall the county has received resulting in widespread property damage beginning in April.

Commissioners will also discuss the approval of authorizing the sale of fireworks for Memorial Day weekend beginning May 25th and ending at midnight on May 30th.

Expected to approve during Tuesday’s meeting is a formal notice for a proposed buried utility line on Eckermann Road in Precinct 4 for Industry Telephone Company, pending fairgrounds contracts, and accounts payable.

The Washington County Commissioners will meet at 9:00am on Tuesday in the court chambers at the Washington County Courthouse.
