WASHINGTON CO. EDUCATION FORUM SET FOR AUGUST THIRD

  

Education is the topic up for discussion at the next Washington County Forum, set for Wednesday, August 3rd at Blinn College.

The forum will will feature Brenham ISD Superintendent Walter Jackson and Burton ISD Superintendent Edna Kennedy, who will provide an update on the current state of public education.

Jackson has been the superintendent of Brenham ISD for just over a year, and has over 20 years of experience in public education.

Kennedy has been the superintendent of the Burton ISD since February of last year. She has been in education for 34 years.

Local businesses and their employees are being asked for input prior to the forum, and Kennedy and Jackson will address the top issues. There will also be a moderated question and answer session at the forum.

Chamber board member Joel Romo of Texana Public Affairs will serve as moderator of the forum.

Tickets to the forum are $25 per person or $250 for a reserved corporate table of eight.  Lunch is included.

Reservations can be made by calling the chamber at 836-3695. The deadline to reserve a seat is Wednesday, July 27.
