WASHINGTON CO. FARM BUREAU NAMES 2016 OUTSTANDING FARMER

  

The Washington County Farm Bureau announced the recipient 2016 Outstanding Farmer and Rancher during their annual meeting on Thursday.

Dr. Michael Wirtz was honored with the award. The President of the Washington County Farm Bureau, Larry Winkelman, highlighted Dr. Wirtz’s extensive history of veterinarian and ranching accomplishments.

In other business, the Bureau re-elected Linda Oberhoff, Marcus Broesche and Matt Zibilski as Directors. Each Director will serve a three year term.

Scholarship winners Shane Bentke and Hannah Schwartz were also recognized during the meeting. Caitlyn Council was acknowledged for attending the TFB Youth Leadership Conference.

The Texas Brigades students also gave a presentation about their camp and thanked the Bureau for their support.
