WASHINGTON CO. HOME BURNS OVERNIGHT

  

A two-story home on William Penn Rd. is believed to be a complete loss after a massive fire Wednesday night.

Fire fighters from Washington were called out shortly after 6:30 to 17959 William Penn Rd. to structure fire.

Upon arrival, they found the home completely engulfed in flames.

According to Justice of the Peace Doug Zwiener, the owner of the home noticed flickering lights but found nothing wrong – a short time later she discovered the upstairs of the home fully involved.

Washington fighters were first called to the scene with mutual aid calls going out to Meyersville and Prairie Hill Departments.

No one was injured.

The cause is under investigation.  It is believed to electrical in nature.
