WASHINGTON COUNTY 4-H COLLECTS 1,232 POUNDS OF FOOD

  

Organizers for a food drive by 4-H members in Washington County say they collected 1,232 pounds of food items during the event.

Thirty-one 4-H members collected the food as part of a scavenger hunt on November 20th. The children went around Brenham collecting food door-to-door, while trying to mark off certain food items on their scavenger hunt list.

The kids also collected $200 in grocery gift cards and cash during the drive. All the items have been donated to Brenham’s Faith Mission food pantry to be used during this Christmas season.
