WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE ARTS CONTRACT RENEWAL
The Washington County Commissioners Court approved the contract renewal for the Affordable Care Act Reporting and Tracking Service (ARTS) for 2016 during their meeting this morning (Tuesday). This contract renewal is free of charge and is provided through the Texas Association of Counties Health and Employee Benefits Pool (TAC HEBP).
Judge John Brieden also presented Governor Greg Abbot’s Flood Awareness proclamation. The proclamation proclaimed May 23rd – 27th as Flood Awareness Week. In 2015 176 people were killed by flooding in 26 states with Texas having the highest number of flood deaths at 48. So far in 2016, Texas has seen 14 flood related deaths.
Also approved were a pending fairgrounds contract for a baptism and accounts payable.
