WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS APPROVE VARIANCE REQUEST

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court approved Frank Allatar’s variance request for a division of land during their meeting this morning (Tuesday). Allatar requested the variance in order to split three pieces of land off of 19.64 acres on Brown College Lane in the William Gates survey in order to sell those tracts of land.

The County Commissioners approved seven pending fairgrounds contracts for three concessions, a wedding, a quinceanera, a birthday party, and a staging for the Houston Rodeo.

During the meeting, EMS also announced that they will be switching from the city phone server to the county phone server. Beginning on June 1st, there will be a new non-emergency number. After 180 days, the old non-emergency number will no longer work or connect you to the new number.

Accounts payable was also approved along with the Sheriff’s Office monthly report were approved.
