WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS JAIL HOUSING

The Washington County Commissioners Court will discuss an agreement between Washington County and Grimes County concerning jail housing during their meeting on Tuesday.

The inter-local cooperation agreement allows for Washington County prisoners to be housed in the Grimes County Jail.

The Commissioners will also discuss three roads in Crosswinds Estates. The roads in consideration include Counsil Lane, East Crosswinds Court, and West Crosswinds Court.  The Commissioners will consider placing the three roads on a one year maintenance period. The move will allow the City of Brenham to reduce the security bond from the construction phase amount to the maintenance phase amount.

In other business, the County Commissioners will hear monthly reports from Washington County Sheriff’s Office, 911, IT Department, EMS, and Veterans Service Office.

The Washington County Commissioners will meet at 9 a.m. in chambers 103 of the courthouse.
