WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO DISCUSS PROPERTY TAX RATE TODAY

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet this morning to discuss the 2016 property tax rate. After the discussion, the Commissioners will schedule two public hearings on the proposed property tax rate.

The Court will also hold a public hearing today on the proposed Washington County Clerk’s record archive plan for 2017.

During the meeting, the Commissioners Court will also address the renewal of the service agreement between Appriss, Inc. and Washington County for the Victim Information and Notification Everyday program (VINE). The VINE service is a resource for crime victims. It allows them to obtain information about criminal cases. Furthermore, it allows victims to see the custody status of their offenders.

In other business, the Court will address the request to close roads for the Rocky Creek Fire Department’s 5K; discuss a variance request for a land division fronting Lange Lake Rd. and Brindle Creek Lane in Brenham; and discuss the revised emergency medical services supplement to the Washington County personnel policy manual.

The Washington County Commissioners will meet Tuesday morning at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse Chambers #103.
