WASHINGTON COUNTY COMMISSIONERS TO MEET TO DISCUSS HOTEL OCCUPANCY TAX FUNDS

  

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet Tuesday morning to discuss the possibility of amending the 2015-2016 Hotel Occupancy Tax Board budget to allow for an allocation of funds.

In the meeting the board will discuss allocating funds from the Washington County Hotel Occupancy Tax Fund Reserves to the Washington County Convention and Visitors Bureau. The funds would be used by the Visitors Bureau for its promotional advertising. Funds would also be used by the Brenham Hotel Association for billboard advertising.

The board will also discuss the request by the Washington County Appraisal District to retain its unused funds from the 2014-2015 budget year; act upon the appointment of Judges for the general and special elections in 2016 and 2017; discuss the approval of the County Hog Out Management Program; and discuss the approval of pending fairground rental and regulation contracts.

The Washington County Commissioners Court will meet Tuesday, August 16th at 9 a.m. at the Washington County Courthouse in chambers 103 in Brenham.
