WASHINGTON COUNTY GIRL SCOUTS HOLDING DONATION DRIVE

The Washington County Girl Scouts will be holding a community wide donation drive for the victims of Hurricane Harvey.  The drive is set for Sunday from 1:00 to 4:00 PM in the Brenham Walmart parking lot.  They are seeking donations of baby items, clothing, toiletries, blankets, pillows, towels, paper goods, pet food and drinking water.  They ask that bags and boxes be labeled and that items be separated for easy sorting.

The items donated are scheduled to be taken to flood victims in the Houston area as well as La Grange and Rosenburg.

  1. I just wanna say a huge thank you to all the volunteers and donations for our Harvy friends and neighbors that were received on Saturday and thanks to the drivers that drove all the donations personally to Victoria, LaGrange, Port Lavaca, Dickinson, Bay City, Columbus and Spring Texas.
It was a great time with friends, strangers and neighbors to show how our great community can come together as one.
I want to thank KWHI also for allowing the publication so our community would know of this great drive by our local Girl Scouts.

  2. Please help these girls of all ages with this very important donation drive needs of our community effected neighbors.
It would be really nice if the older girls/ladies that were involved with girls scouts in the younger childhood days to show a very positive example to our future ladies.
It’s not that much to ask even if it’s just a hello or thank you for helping out because it might just be the spark one girl needs.
We are very lucky/blessed in Brenham but it’s very sad our friends and family who work hard and live just like us day to day then have everything taken away in a second.

Please go help if you can this Sunday at Walmart parking lot from 2:00-4:00 p.m.
