WASHINGTON COUNTY GRAND JURY RETURNS INDICTMENTS

  

Two people who had previously been indicted by a Washington County Grand Jury have been arrested.

26 year old Hector Mancilla-Mendoza of Brenham has been arrested and charged with two counts of sex abuse of a child continuous with the victim under age 14, and with sexual performance by a child.  And 30 year old Cory Martinez of College Station has been arrested and charged with possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and having a prohibited substance in a correctional facility.

During Tuesday’s session of the Grand Jury, 18 indictments were handed down.  Only the names of those that have been arrested can be released.  22 year old Normandy Susan King of Brenham was indicted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.  The indictment stems from an incident on January 27th when King supposedly pointed a gun at another individual in the 200 block of West 2nd Street.  27 year old Tommy Harrison Benson of Brenham was indicted for burglary of a building from an incident on October 8th, and for possession of a controlled substance less than one gram from August 14th of last year.

Michael Gary Montgomery, age 52 of Brenham, and Robert Pursley III, age 50 of Brenham, were both indicted for possession of a controlled substance less than one gram.  And 22 year old Irvin Arevalo of Houston and 37 year old Samuel Lee Salvato of Brenham were indicted for possession of a controlled substance less than one gram, and with tampering with physical evidence.
