WASHINGTON-ON-THE-BRAZOS SET FOR FOURTH CELEBRATION

  

Preparations continue at the Birthplace of Texas, as once again, H-E-B is sponsoring Fireworks on the Brazos, the Fourth of July at Washington-on-the-Brazos.

The celebration at the birthplace of Texas begins at 10:00 a.m. Monday.

The Gift Shop will be open from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., while food and craft vendors will offer a variety of items for sale throughout the event.

An evening full of fun gets underway at 7:00…

 

Buses will run constantly from 1 to 10 p.m. to shuttle guests to the different areas of the park, at no charge.

Admission to the park, the concert and fireworks is all free.  There will be park fees charged for tours of the museum, Barrington House and Independence Hall.

Visitors can bring picnics, blankets, lawn chairs and flashlights. State park rules apply; alcohol is prohibited.
