The award presentation, Wednesday, was hosted by the Volunteers from the MADD Bryan office and was held in College Station.

The ceremony recognized outstanding law enforcement work in the area of impaired driving and underage drinking prevention.

Sergeant Morales is a field training officer with the Washington County Sheriff’s office.  Sherrif Otto Hanak says Morales has utilized his DWI enforcement skills to not only detect and apprehend drivers that are under the influence, but he also instructs new deputies in this critical area of law enforcement.

Morales has been with the Sheriff's Office since January of 2013, beginning as a jailer.

Hanak calls Morales “…a tremendous asset to not only to the Washington County Sheriff's Office but to the citizens of this county and state as well.”
