A Kileen-area man faces charges after his arrest during a Brenham traffic stop.
Wednesday afternoon, just after 2:30, 20-year old Artistide V. Langlois of Harker Heights was pulled over in the 1100 block of U.S. Highway 290 West.
During the stop Corporal Jonathan Phipps discovered that Langlois was in possession of illegal prescription pills and a handgun.
He was charged with Unlawful Carrying of a Handgun and Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Langlois was taken to the Washington County Jail.

A Brenham man has been charged with Driving While Intoxicated following an accident Wednesday afternoon.
Officer Kejan Mehlhorn was dispatched to the area of Lounge Rd, in reference to a crash around 12:00, Wednesday.
Melhorn’s investigation revealed that the driver involved, 24-year old Jared Brad Tomachefsky of Brenham was allegedly driving while intoxicated.
Tomachefsky was arrested and booked into the Washington County Jail on a charge of Driving While Intoxicated with an Open Container.

A Brenham woman faces a trespassing charge after her arrest Wednesday afternoon.
Brenham Police Officer Alex Saenz was called to the local WalMart, in the 200 block of Highway 290 West, just before 4:00 P.M.
According to Saenz, Kassandra Love had an active Criminal Trespass Warning for the local store.
Love was placed into custody and taken to the Washington County Jail.
