WEEKEND EARLY-VOTING AT WASHINGTON CO. ANNEX

Special weekend early voting is taking place today and tomorrow at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

Weekend early voting hours are: today (Saturday) from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m., and (Sunday) from noon to 3:00 p.m.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says Friday’s turnout was the best she’s seen, so far this year.  The total turnout for the day was 401 voters, included 357 Republicans and 44 Democrats casting ballots.

So far, 988 Republicans and 109 Democrats have cast early votes for a total of 1097 total votes cast.

According to Rothermel, this year’s early turnout is running well ahead of the early voting in the last two general elections.  885 people cast early votes in 2016; while the three-day total was 708 in 2014.

Early voting continues at the Washington County Courthouse Annex next Monday-thru-Friday from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.  Friday March 2nd is the final day of early voting.

Election Day is Tuesday, March 6th.

  1. Only issue with your weekend voting is I went both Saturday and Sunday During the times listed above and the lights were off and the door was locked up tight. I don’t think it is right to say you will be there so people can vote and are not. It is very hard for me to be able to vote on the actually day because I work in another city but live here. I cannot come during the week between 8 and 5 because again I have to work in another city. So please tell me how are people like me suppose to be able to vote. I really would like to be able to use my God given rights and vote.
