WEEKEND POLICE REPORT

  

Two individuals were arrested Friday for marijuana possession.  At 2pm Friday, Brenham Police Officer Kevin Mertz conducted a traffic stop in the 700 block of Wilkins Street.  An open container of alcohol and marijuana were located in the vehicle and the driver admitted that both were his.  Arrested was Tommy Earl Gilbert, age 30, for possession of marijuana.

Friday evening, officers responded to a report of a suspicious vehicle in the 300 block of Bridge Street. They located a vehicle parked on the side of the road with two subjects inside.  Officers report that both subjects smelled of marijuana and a search of the vehicle reviled a bag containing marijuana.  One of the subjects admitted that it belonged to him.  Arrested was Raeshaun D’Ante Keyes, age 20, of Joliet, Illinois.

Brenham police are also investigating an apparent break-in of a business early Sunday morning.  Police were called to the 200 block of East Academy for a burglary of a building.  A hole had been cut into the side of the building, but when the owner arrived, nothing was found to be missing from the business.
