WEST INSTALLED AS THSCA PRESIDENT

The THSCA Convention & Coaching School has come to an end.

The four-day annual conference that offers a wide range of education sessions on both male and female sports as well as health and safety topics, was attended by over 12,000 coaches, athletic directors, exhibitors and fans of athletics.

This year’s event also included the installation of Brenham Cubs head football coach and athletic director Glen West as president of the Coaches Association.

West was elected to the post one year ago.

West has been the head coach and athletic director at Brenham High school for 16 years.

He has won 167 games in Brenham and led the Cubs to the State Championship game in 2002, 2010 and 2013.

West is preparing to lead the Cubs into the 2015 season as two-a-days begin Monday, August 3rd.
