WINTER WEATHER TO HIT BRAZOS VALLEY, MONDAY NIGHT

A Winter Weather advisory is in effect for most of the Brazos Valley.

The Brazos Valley is likely to be impacted this evening, with scattered showers by dinnertime with the front approaching soon after, which could quickly result in hazardous travel.

The main threat, especially for the northern counties, is for minor ice accumulations, and snow/sleet accumulations up to 2 inches.

Accumulations and totals are expected to be lower, but the morning commute could still be affected for Tuesday.

The Winter Weather Advisory affects: Washington, Burleson, Brazos, Grimes, Montgomery, Waller and Austin Counties.

The Winter Storm Watch has been upgraded to a Warning for Lee, Milam, Robertson, and Leon Counties.  The Warning upgrade means an increased potential for winter weather in these areas.
