A woman that was arrested in College Station for her 6th DWI has been sentenced to four years in prison.

Barbara Diane Caine, age 57 of Houston, was convicted on Tuesday of felony DWI 3rd offense or more in the 272nd District Court.

On June 27, College Station Police received a call from Cain’s adult daughter who reported that her mother was intoxicated and refused to stop driving her rental car. Cain’s daughter was following her and asking police to stop and arrest her mother for driving while intoxicated.

Police officers stopped Cain in the Applebee’s parking lot near Texas Street and University and found Cain obviously intoxicated with open containers of beer. Her blood alcohol level was .257.

Cain committed this offense while she was on bond for two felony DWI’s in Fort Bend County. She was arrested by Sugarland PD officers for felony DWI on April 29, 2012 and May 18, 2012 and had BAC’s of .243 and .319 respectively.

Under cross examination by the prosecutor, Cain admitted she was guilty of all three offenses. Cain’s first DWI conviction was in 1993 and her second was in 2004. She was indicted for felony DWI third or more in Harris County in 2010 but that case was pled down to a misdemeanor.

  1. The daughter may have saved lives and grief. But this poor lady does not belong in jail. She needs a plea agreement to be put on Antabuse immediately. The generic name of Antabuse is Disulfiram. It makes one ill, if alcohol is consumed.

    1. She definitely deserves to be in jail are you kidding me. six dwi arrest? she will never learn her lesson. if she was arrested for having marijuana on her six times I feel you would have a different thought on this. jail is the only thing that sobers some people up and make them realize their actions. clearly she didn’t learn after her first two plea deals
