Kelsie Lee Fowler-Rodriguez, 20, initially told police she wanted to turn herself in for a stolen vehicle. However, upon further questioning Fowler-Rodriguez told officers she shot and killed her boyfriend, 22-year-old Francisco Silva.

An investigation led College Station authorities to find Silva with a gunshot wound to his head at a property off County Road 157 near Iola in Grimes County.

Fowler-Rodriguez told police she and Silva had plans to go shooting in the country, on a property that belonged to Silva’s friend. She reportedly confessed that she has made the plans to kill Silva before they planned the shooting trip.

The Grimes County Sheriff's Department, College Station Police Detectives, and the Texas Rangers are handling the ongoing investigation.
