18-WHEELER CLEARED FROM SOUTHBOUND HIGHWAY 6 NEAR NAVASOTA

  

Update @ 4:00 p.m.: A single-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler closed down the southbound lanes of Highway 6 just outside Navasota for several hours today (Thursday).

According to the TxDOT Bryan District, the accident occurred around noon in the median, and shut down the southbound lanes of Highway 6, from Highway 105 to Business 6.

The truck was hauling paper when it parked on the side of the road in the grass, causing it to roll over.  There were no reported injuries.

The 18-wheeler has been cleared from the roadway.

 

Original Story @ 1:22 p.m.: The southbound lanes of Highway 6 in Navasota are currently closed, due to an 18-wheeler accident.

According to the TxDOT Bryan District, an 18-wheeler accident in the median is shutting down the southbound lanes of Highway 6, from Highway 105 to Business 6.

The lanes will be closed for the next few hours.  A detour is in place.
