18-WHEELER OVERTURNS ON STATE HIGHWAY 36
A one-vehicle accident involving an 18-wheeler slowed down traffic Thursday morning on Highway 36.
According to DPS, an 18-wheeler overturned on Highway 36 North and US Highway 290 just before 7 a.m.
The Brenham Fire Department was called out to the scene to help remove a person who was trapped inside the truck.
The fire department used stabilization equipment on the truck and assisted Washington County EMS in safely removing the person from the vehicle.
No serious injuries were reported as a result of the accident.
The fire department used absorbent on a small oil spill and assisted with traffic control until the back-up cleared.
