EARLY VOTING CONTINUES IN RUNOFF ELECTIONS

  

One hundred-two people cast early ballots Thursday in the Republican and Democratic Primary Runoffs at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

According to Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel, Thursday brought in 67 Republican voters and 35 Democratic voters.  Through four days of early voting, there have been 338 ballots cast, 195 Republican and 143 Democratic.

The Annex will be closed today (Friday) due to the Independence Day holiday.

Early voting will resume next week.  Rothermel says there will be extended voting hours from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Monday and Tuesday, to help those who may not have time to make it to the Annex during normal working hours.
