FORMER BRENHAM VET NO-BILLED BY GRAND JURY
A Brenham veterinarian who posted a photo of herself on Facebook with a cat she claimed she’d shot with an arrow has been no-billed by the Austin County Grand Jury.

After the case was presented Wednesday morning at the Austin County courthouse, the Grand Jury decided that no charges would be filed against Kristen Lindsey.
After the photo was posted, the ensuing uproar led to Lindsey’s firing from the Washington Animal Clinic on Highway 36 North.
The Austin County Sheriff's Office conducted an animal cruelty investigation into Lindsey, then turned the case over to the Austin County District Attorney's Office who made the Grand Jury presentation Wednesday.
The no-bill finding means the Grand Jury determined there was not enough evidence that any crime was committed.
Lindsey claimed the cat in question was feral, while animal rights protestors claim the cat was a pet named “Tiger”.
A handful of protestors armed with numerous signs camped out in front of the Austin County courthouse in Bellville throughout much of the morning.
