AUSTIN COUNTY FAIR ENTERTAINMENT LINEUP ANNOUNCED

  

The 88th Annual Austin County Fair and PRCA Rodeo has announced their entertainment lineup for this year’s event, scheduled to be October 7-11.

Kyle Park will entertain fairgoers on Thursday, Oct. 8 at 10:15 p.m. Although he is young in his career, Park is quite impressive. In his seven-year journey, Park has released four albums and a recent single “What Goes Around Comes Around.” Before his fourth album, “Beggin For More” was released he earned his first No. 1 single “The Night Is Young.”

Special guest Gary P. Nunn also performs Thursday night at 8:15 p.m. Nunn has been taking Texas to the country and Texas country to the world for some 40 years now. He is famous for “London Homesick Blues (Home With The Armadillo),” “Down To Louisiana” and “It’s Not Love.”

Daryle Singletary returns Friday evening, Oct. 9 at 8:15 p.m. Singletary is from rural Georgia and earned his fame for country authenticity with such unforgettable hits as “I Let Her Lie,” “Too Much Fun”, “Amen Kind of Love” and “The Note.”

The Bellamy Brothers take the stage at 10:15 p.m. For more than 30 years, the Bellamy Brothers have been connecting with millions of listeners around the world with their country music. They are known for their hits such us, “Old Hippie,” “Lovers Live Longer,” and “Do You Love As Good As You Look.”

Don’t put those boots away just yet because Saturday, Oct. 10 at 7 p.m., guests will get in the dancing mood with Jason Boland and The Stragglers. The Oklahoma cowboy and his band are known for their songs, “Pearl Snaps,” “Comal County Blue” and “My Baby Loves Me When I’m Stoned.”

Cody Canada and The Departed will take the stage at 9 p.m. Canada was the lead singer/songwriter of the Oklahoma based band Cross Canadian Ragweed. Cody returned to the music scene with a newly energized inspiration to take the lead of his four-piece band The Departed. Cody Canada and The Departed are best known for their hits “Ballad of Rosalie,” “Easy,” and “Inbetweener.”

Closing the night at 11 p.m. is Texas native Cody Johnson. He grew up in the East Texas piney woods where in his freshman year of high school he formed a band with fellow FFA members.

Placing runner-up in the highly competitive Texas State FFA talent contest, Johnson realized he was in love for life – in love with the music, the crowd and the energy of performing on stage. Johnson is famous for his songs “Nobody to Blame,” “Pray For Rain,” “Texas Kind of Way” and many more.
