BRENHAM POLICE SEARCHING MAN WANTED ON SEXUAL ABUSE CHARGES

Brenham police have issued a warrant for a Brenham man wanted for continuous sexual abuse of a young child.
A warrant has been issued for the arrest of thirty-nine year old Manuel DeJesus Martinez.
Bond has been set at $500,000.
Martinez had a Brenham address in the 2000 Block of FM 389, and worked in the Brenham area.
It is believed Martinez has fled to the city of Ojocaliente, state of Zacatecas in Mexico, which is approximately six to seven hours into the country.
He is described as a Hispanic male, 5’7’’, 160 pounds, black hair and brown eyes. He has multiple tattoos: on the right side of his chest, a picture of Christ; on the left side of his chest, the Virgin Mary with the name Dulce; on his upper right arm, a picture of a Joker from a deck of cards; on his left calve muscle, a homemade tattoo saying Jose and Marie; on his left arm, a skull version of the “Drama, Comedy masks”; on his left hand, the word Bruja with one letter on each finger; and on his left hand a spider that is covering up an older tattoo.
He was last seen on July 20, 2015 at 10 p.m. in Brenham. He was wearing a neon yellow shirt, black and brown shorts and carrying a small PowerAd bag that is red and black in color.
The picture was taken July 10. The family is offering a reward for any information leading to his arrest.
