LOCAL DELEGATES ATTEND TEEA CONVENTION
Diane Ashorn, Michele Daniels, and FCS agent Tanya McGonagill attended the Texas Extension Education Association (TEEA) Conference as delegates at Waco September 15 and 16th .
Washington EEA received the Honor Roll of Counties as well as the Outstanding Educational Programs Award.
Johnnie Roberson was recognized for 50 years of membership, Evelyn Fuchs for 65 years and Viola Warmke for 70 years.
Lillian Wellmann was recognized on the memory board as a member who has recently passed away.
Eight cultural art items from Washington County reached state competition and Erika Rochelle of the Greenvine EE Club won 1st in state with her machine embroidery and Judith Finke of the Lunch and Learn EE Club won 3rd with her traditional scrapbook.
Chesley Rudasill received the Bobbie Elmore Alumnae Scholarship for District 11. She is a past recipient of the Washington Co. TEEA Scholarship.
The delegates attended the following workshops: 1. Learning how to Judge 4-H projects, 2. Eating what you grow, 3. Emergency Evacuations, 4. Don’t let Blue get to You (workshop about depression), 5. Preparing the Presenter for Progressive Programming (how to be an effective presenter), 6. Preserving memories and 7. Driving for the Mature Driver
Millie Barrow was elected President-elect, Betty Baugh First Vice President and Kay Jacobs Treasurer.
