HIGHWAY 105 SEAL COAT OPERATIONS TO START WEDNESDAY IN BRENHAM

WORK WILL BEGIN IN DOWNTOWN AND HEAD EAST

Road crews begin seal coat operations tomorrow (Wednesday) on roughly 18.25 miles of Highway 105, starting in Brenham.

TxDOT says the work will begin where the highway intersects with Business 290 in downtown Brenham, at the edge of East Alamo Street.

After starting at the in-town portion of the road, work will move to the east to where the highway meets FM 1155 near Old Washington.  The project is expected to be complete by September 3rd.

Drivers can expect delays and various lane closures throughout the operation.  They are encouraged to plan for extra travel time through the area or seek other routes.

The project is contracted to Cox Paving of Texas, Inc. for $1.9 million.
