WASHINGTON CO. CHAMBER TAILGATE DRAWS LARGE CROWDS

  

Crowds filled Silver Wings Ballroom in Brenham Thursday night for the Washington County Chamber of Commerce’s annual Tailgate Party.

Hundreds came out to show their support for area schools and their favorite sports teams at the community pep rally, which raises money for Chamber programs.

Guests were treated to a tailgate-style dinner featuring hot dogs, wings and hamburgers-on-a-stick, while music and entertainment was provided by a DJ, local school bands and cheerleaders.  Meanwhile, dozens of auction items donated by local businesses were available for bid, including tickets to sporting events, various merchandise and reserved parties at local venues.

The event marked the return of an in-person Tailgate Party, as last year’s fundraiser provided private parties to participating businesses and featured a spirit decorating contest.
