INFANT DIES FROM INJURIES IN CRASH AT HIGHWAY 105-FM 390

  

Update @ 10:20 a.m.: An infant has died from injuries suffered during a two-vehicle accident Monday night northeast of Brenham.

The crash occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 105 and FM 390 North.

According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2014 Jeep SUV traveling east on Highway 105 stopped in the roadway to turn left into a private driveway.  A 2006 Dodge pickup also traveling east on Highway 105 did not slow down and struck the Jeep.

The driver of the Jeep, 27-year-old Mayra Reyes-Gonzalez of Brenham, was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Brenham.  Also transported were the front seat passenger, 28-year-old Rodolfo Navarro of Brenham, and two back seat passengers, a two-year-old and a seven-month-old.

The seven-month-old suffered incapacitating injuries and was later pronounced dead at the hospital.

The driver of the Dodge, a 15-year-old from Washington, refused treatment at the scene.

DPS says investigation is ongoing and no further information is available.

 

Original Story @ 7:27 a.m.: Three people, including an infant, were transported for injuries after a two-vehicle accident Monday night northeast of Brenham.

According to Meyersville Volunteer Fire Chief Alan Winkelmann, the accident occurred shortly after 7:30 p.m. near the intersection of Highway 105 and FM 390 North.

Details of how the accident occurred are limited, but Winkelmann said an infant passenger had serious injuries and was driven by ambulance to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Brenham.

Winkelmann said a child around 2 years old and the driver of one of the vehicles were also transported for non-life threatening injuries.

  1. My deepest condolences to the family. I cannot imagine the pain they are going through at this moment. As much as we express our support there are no words to recover from this lost. This 7 months baby is now a wonderful angel who will be looking after the family from EVEN!!.
