Junior King - Evan Dippel

Evan Ross Dippel has been chosen as this year’s Junior Maifest King. He is the nine year old son of Tee and Sunny Dippel and began participating in Maifest at the age of four. It is quite an honor for him to reign over this year’s Junior Maifest Court of “Lights! Camera! Action!”
Evan is a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church and is a third grader at St. Paul’s Christian Day School. Evan enjoys reading the Percy Jackson series, and playing flag football, basketball, golf, and soccer. He is a member of Cub Scout Pack #742 at the Bear rank in Den 2.
He loves watching sports and any show related to sports talk and statistics, which coincides with his enjoyment of math and history. He can carry on a conversation with just about any fan of football or basketball, whether about present players or those of the past. He also loves being in the water, whether it’s the pool, the beach or a waterpark. He is known for his quick wit and his willingness to lend a hand, whether in the kitchen, putting up decorations, fixing something, or riding in a tractor in the rice field with his grandfather.
Maifest is a tradition in this King’s family. His sister, Victoria, was the Jr. Queen in 2017 for the court of “A Ticket to Ride.” His older brother Ty, was the Jr. King in 2020 for the court of “Game Night.” His father was a Jr. King in 1986 for the court of “Texas Our Texas”, and his aunt, Margaret Dippel Voelter, was Jr. Queen in 1983 for the court of “A Small World”. His great aunt, Deanna Dippel Alfred, was Sr. Queen in 1966. His cousins, Corby and Kurt Alfred were Jr. Kings in 1990 and 1993. He has been a Smurf, a Mad Hatter, a Cave Explorer, one of the Seven Dwarfs, and an Ice Fisherman in previous Maifests.
Evan is the grandson of Tieman “Skipper” & Katherine Dippel of Brenham and Ralph & Connie Gertson of Eagle Lake. His great grandparents are Ralph & JoAnn Gertson of Eagle Lake. He is also the great grandson of the former Sheriff Tieman and Evelyn Dippel of Brenham, Thomas and Peggy Wright of Nacogdoches, and E.H. “Sonny” and Dorothy Breithaupt of Eagle Lake.

Junior Queen - Talyn Sulik

Talyn Presley Sulik is this year’s Junior Maifest Queen reigning over the Court of “Lights! Camera! Action!” She is excited and honored to be chosen as the Junior Queen this year. Our queen loves movies and the imagination that they bring and can’t wait to share that movie magic with friends old and new.
Talyn attends St. Mary’s Catholic Church and is a fourth grade honor roll student at Brenham Elementary. She is a ray of sunshine, and it brings her great joy to make people smile and
laugh. She can find the good in everyone and in all circumstances. Her imagination soars and she loves to write and illustrate stories with friends at school. Along with those stories you will find amazing drawings of her biggest love…horses! If she isn’t competing in a horse show on the weekend, you will most definitely find her at the horse barn enjoying trail rides and the outdoors with friends. She also enjoys the soccer season out on the field with her fellow friends and teammates. Every summer you can find her playing in the sand and splashing in the water at the beach on her family’s annual vacation to Seaside.
She adores Maifest and has been participating since she was 3 years old. From being a tiny lemonade to a Flamboyant Flamingo, she can recall the details and storylines of past Maifests in great detail, and has even created costume ideas. Some of her favorite costumes were a Forest Tree, Dorothy, Gretel, and a Maipole Dancer.
Talyn is the ten-year-old daughter of Ashley and Josh Sulik, the granddaughter of Janie and Derrell Krebs, of Brenham, and Peggy and Ron Sulik of LaGrange, and the great-granddaughter of Mary Turnbow of Brenham.

Senior King - Blake Cutter Jones

Blake Cutter Jones is the 132nd Senior Maifest King. Blake will reign over the 2022 Senior Maifest “And the Award Goes to…Maifest 2022” with Queen Moli Ragonis.
Blake was born and raised in Brenham, Texas and lives with his family at the Wichita Ranch. He attended St Paul’s Christian Day School through 6th grade before moving to Brenham Jr. High. He is currently a senior at Brenham High School. Blake has enjoyed participating in Maifest, his first as a member of a family friend’s royal court, and most recently portraying James Bond in last year’s coronation.
After graduating with this year’s Class of 2022, Blake plans to attend college in the fall and play football. While he has an idea where he hopes to don a jersey his Freshman year, for now he will keep you guessing as to his final destination. Blake has been a Varsity football player since his sophomore year, and was named the 2021 First Team All District Defensive End, while also earning an Academic All State Honorable Mention in 2021 and was recognized Academic All District in 2020 and 2021.
Blake has been an active member in both the Bluebonnet 4-H Club and Washington County Fair. At the Fair he has had the honor of being selected Champion, Reserve Champion, and a 3rd place contender with his F1 pen of threes. Being the great big brother that he is, he even showed a fair colt two years in a row, just so his little sister’s class would make and she could have the opportunity to show as well.
Academically, Blake has flourished. A member of National Honor Society since his junior year, he continues to maintain a high grade point average while also juggling other activities including being an active member of Young Life and attending St. Paul’s Lutheran Church.
When it’s not football season or he is not hitting the gym, Blake can be found at sporting clay competitions throughout the country or at his ranch, Los Corralitos on the Rio Grande. Blake loves to hunt whitetails under low fence and shoot hogs out of the helicopter when the weather is right. The beaches of the Bahamas at Lyford Cay is probably the ultimate treasure of your
king. The sparkling sands and the world underneath the ocean surface have always fascinated him. Blake loves to scuba dive and has even swum with the sharks off the coast of Nassau.
Another pastime of this year’s king is watching movies with his little sister Ribbon. Action-packed movies are always a go-to and you will likely see them select a Marvel movie to light up the screen.
At his core, our King’s greatest asset is his kindness and care for others. His smile and passion for life truly brighten up the world.
Blake Cutter Jones is the son of Betsy Jones and the big brother to Ashley “Ribbon” Jones. He is the grandson of Lannie Mecom (Houston) who resides in Brenham and Robert K Moses Jr. from Houston, Texas. He is also the nephew of Steve and Nancy Martin and cousin to Elle of Brenham.

Senior Queen - Moli Ragonis

This year’s Senior Maifest Queen, Moli Grace Ragonis, made her Maifest debut when she was just three years old as purple glitter. Over the years she has played a range of characters from a Hawaiian belly dancer, a spoonful of sugar, a golfer', and a Matador, but serving as the Senior Maifest Queen will undoubtedly be her favorite role yet! Moli is honored to represent Maifest and looks forward to creating a wonderful and fun experience for the community and all the Maifest participants as she reigns over the 132nd Court of “And the Award Goes To… Maifest 2022”.
Moli is a 2-time All-American Varsity Cheerleader and co-captain. She was selected for the First All-District Academic Team representing Varsity Football through her position as an athletic trainer and was recently selected as an HEB Scholar. In her community, she currently serves as the President of the Washington County Heritage Belles, is a member of Brenham Presbyterian Church, and is employed at Tres Chic Boutique in downtown Brenham.
Moli enjoys watching college football and participating in Friday Night Lights. She is an excellent chef and can often be found in the kitchen creating yummy meals and treats for her family. When she is not cheering on the field or serving in the community, our new monarch loves to travel. Her favorite destination is the annual family trip to Seaside, Florida. When at home, you can catch her hanging out with her furry friend, Otis. After High School, she plans to follow the family tradition and attend Baylor University.
Moli is the spunky little sister to Noah Ragonis, 2018 Senior Maifest King, and Cole Ragonis, 2020 Senior Maifest King. She is the granddaughter of Olen and Charleen Jones of Brenham, Texas and the late Haim and Leah Ragonis of Tel Aviv, Israel. She is daughter of the late Tamir Ragonis, and Wende and Charlie Anderson.
