HOUSTON MAN KILLED IN MOTORCYCLE – SUV ACCIDENT IN CHAPPELL HILL
A motorcyclist from Houston was killed in a collision with an SUV Saturday afternoon in Chappell Hill.
The crash occurred around 12:45 p.m. on Highway 290, near Sausage Lane.
According to DPS Sergeant Justin Ruiz, a 2019 Honda motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Highway 290 and failed to yield the right of way when turning onto Sausage Lane, striking a westbound 2021 Chevrolet Suburban.
The driver of the Honda, 67-year-old Bruce Sanders, was pronounced dead at the scene.
The driver and passengers of the SUV were uninjured.
DPS says investigation of the crash is ongoing.
