BOYS & GIRLS CLUB OF WASHINGTON CO. RAISES OVER $125,000 AT ‘FLIGHT TO GREAT FUTURES’ GALA

The Boys and Girls Club of Washington County raised over $125,000 at its inaugural fundraising gala last week.

The “Flight to Great Futures” Gala took place on April 21st at The Barnhill Center.  The gala included special recognition of honorees and long-time club supporters J. Hal and Allyne Machat, as well as Brenham National Bank.

Also part of the gala were a dinner catered by The Bake Shop at All Things Acres, live and silent auctions, and words from club members, their parents, and former staff members and club supporters.

Boys and Girls Club Executive Director Stephanie Wehring called the gala “a tremendous success and a powerful illustration of the incredible support of this community.”

The event was co-chaired by Tiffany McMordie-Morisak and Jamie Rankin, and sponsored by H.E.B and HRD AeroSystems.  McMordie-Morisak said the club was “overwhelmed by the incredible support of the attendees” at the gala.
