BRENHAM MAN FACES FAMILY ASSAULT CHARGES AFTER WEEKEND ARREST
A Brenham man was arrested Sunday on several assault charges.
According to Washington County Sheriff Otto Hanak, deputies responded to a home in the Bluebonnet Hills subdivision in reference to a disturbance that resulted in alleged assaults of family members.
Deputies obtained statements from the occupants of the home, which led to the arrest of 30-year-old Charles Edward Bartley.
Bartley was charged with two counts of Aggravated Assault with a Weapon, three counts of Assault of a Family Member Impeding Breath or Circulation, and one count of Possession of a Controlled Substance.
Bartley remains in the Washington County Jail with bonds set at $145,000.
