12 PEOPLE PLEAD GUILTY AND SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

12 people plead guilty and where sentenced by Judge Carson Campbell in District Court this week.

Joseph Scott Kruer, 42 of College Station, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for 2 counts of Possession of Controlled Substance and Attempted Tampering with Physical Evidence.

Shacarrie Latrice Dixon, 26 of Brenham, had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Burglary of a Habitation.  She was also ordered to pay $1149 in restitution.

Jerome Joaquin Rios, 48 of Brenham, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance. He was also convicted on a Possession of Controlled Substance charge and was given time served in the Washington County Jail.

Megan Dawn Gandy, 28 of Houston, had her probation revoked and was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  She was also ordered to pay a $500 fine.

Jeremiah Dayton Dean, 39 of Brenham, was sentenced to 9 months in state jail for Attempted Assault of a Family Member by Impeding Breath or Circulation.

Freddie Akens, 42 of Hempstead, had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 8 months in state jail for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.  He was also ordered to pay $8060 in restitution.

Charles Carson Lowder, 58 of Somerville, was sentenced to 10 years’ probation for Possession of a Controlled Substance.  He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Shaqueta Shaquette Smith, 37 of Copperas Cove, was sentenced to 10 years’ probation for Money Laundering between $2,500 and $30,000 and Possession of Marijuana between 4 oz and 5 pounds.  She was also ordered to pay a $2000 fine, perform 200 hours of community service, and serve 180 days in the Washington County Jail as a condition of probation.

Luis Alberto Avalos Manzano, 41 of Brenham, was sentenced to 8 years deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.  He was also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service. He was also convicted of two Assault Causes Bodily Injuries charges and was given time served in the Washington County Jail on those charges.

Alvaro Mendoza-Rodriguez, 44 of Hutto, and Javier Jose Mendoza-Rodriguez, 41 of Austin, were each sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Fraudulent Use or Possession of Identifying Info. Between 10 and 50 items.  They were also ordered to pay a $500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Alfredo Deleon, 40 of Caldwell, was sentenced to 2 years deferred adjudication probation for Assault Causing Bodily Injury.  He was also ordered to perform 150 hours of community service.

Dustin Darrell Head, 40 of Brenham, was sentenced to 2 years’ probation for Injury to Child.  The Defendant pled not guilty in October of last year, but was found guilty by the Court on the same day.  He was also ordered to perform 50 hours of community service.
