BBA ARCHITECTS A FINALIST FOR TEXAS DOWNTOWN PRESIDENT’S AWARD
A local architectural firm is a finalist for an award celebrating downtown districts across the state of Texas.

BBA Architects in Brenham is one of three finalists for the Texas Downtown President’s Award, under the category of Best Renovation/Rehabilitation/Restoration for communities under 50,000 residents.
BBA Architects recently converted the historic 1925 building at 213 West Main Street into its new office space, after formerly being located at 1702 South Market Street.
A total of 129 entries were submitted in 12 different categories from communities around the state. Other finalists in BBA’s category include the Keystone Star Hotel in Lampasas and The Glove Factory in Mount Vernon.
Navasota and Bryan also have finalists in several categories. The P.A. Smith Hotel and Rail & Rye in Navasota are finalists for Best Commercial Interior under 50,000 people. The Queen Theatre and Zeitman’s Grocery Store in Bryan are in the running for the Resiliency Award and Best Downtown Business over 50,000 people, respectively. Bryan Broadcasting is contending to be named Best Downtown Partner over 50,000 people.
Winners will be announced on November 2nd at the President’s Awards Gala, held in conjunction with the 2022 Texas Downtown Conference in San Marcos.
Texas Downtown was established in 1985 as an independent, statewide nonprofit whose mission is to provide members with resources, advocacy, education and connections to develop vibrant districts.
