SKYROCKET! ENTERTAINS WITH ICONIC HITS AT ‘HOT NIGHTS, COOL TUNES’
An eclectic blend of music filled downtown Brenham on Saturday for this month’s second installment of “Hot Nights, Cool Tunes.”
The Austin-based Skyrocket! had something for everyone as the band played hits from numerous genres and eras at the stage set up at Alamo and Baylor Streets.
Further down Alamo Street, crowds checked out a variety of classic cars at the Stray Katz Car Club’s cruise-in. They also visited local businesses and vendors for treats and refreshments. There was also entertainment by Jake Waylon on the Alamo Alley stage as part of a series of performances from local artists.
Saturday’s concert was sponsored by Brenham National Bank, Seidel Schroeder, Dahmann and Associates and Must Be Heaven.
Coming up this Saturday, July 22nd will be the Latin beat of Shekere, a seven-piece band of musicians and singers from Houston that will play a mix of English and Latin pop hits. That concert is sponsored by BRIANNAS Fine Salad Dressings, Las Americas Latin Cuisine, Deep in the Heart Farms and RCR Rail.
Playing on the Alamo Alley stage for the local musician series will be Ryann Elise, performing original songs and covers.
